Class is Permanent, form is Temporary

Women and men have debated for centuries, to determine which gender is a better designer. Some of the worlds biggest fashion houses are all led by male designers. However this debate is not the issue at hand, as a lover of MENS FASHION from shoes to bow ties and well fitted details- I think its time to pay a little attention to the finer things in life.  A well put together man, who has confidence always appears irresistible. Coco Chanel said that, "Fashion fades, only style remains the same". Therefore it is necessary to determine whether it is merely a fad and to take note on his off days. It is the small details that make the man, as form is merely temporary but class is permanent. A man that dresses well and pays attention to detail in his appearance, will do the same in his life, work and the way he treats you, there are exceptions to the rule. Whatever type of man you prefer, if he can look good in a suit then that's a bonus but remember Class is Permanent and form is temporary.

Mens fashion may be epitomised by James Bond, and the continuous portrayals of the classic man by celebrities like Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig influencing fashion trends and style, with each new James Bond eraDetails such as his haircut, the way he wears his watch or cufflinks, his shoes and general presentation are all the little things that define a classy man from one that is posing with material things. Money may buy those finer things but without style or class those things are just material. It is that certain type of man that can make anything look good, it is just the way he is... An iconic style in mens fashion, is Scott Disick, who once said the most essential piece of your wardrobe are shoes, "As a component of an outfit, shoes can really be the critical item that turns an average choice in menswear into something amazing." He clearly understands the importance of detail, which can be seen in LORD Disicks array of stylish outfits below.

Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick, who plays Chuck Bass embodies impeccable style. His suave posture, slim cut suits, unique colour choices make for the perfect MODERN gentlemen.

Celebrities, such as George Clooney, Brad Pitt, David Beckham-who might look even better without clothing, Orlando Bloom, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Jon Hamm, carry anything with great style, thus there sense of fashion speaks for itself. The lawyer in me just loves Gabriel Macht, who stars as Harvey Spector from Suits, he is New York’s best-dressed legal closer. Fictional characters and celebrities are trend setters, influenced by the ever changing nature of fashion. Fashion fades and only style remains the same. A man with class can be seen from a mile a way because he embodies style and a poser, will eventually be caught out as his form is merely temporary.

  1. Well said! There is a reason why James Bond has been the epitome of gentlemen’s fashion for many years. It’s because he’s more than just a fad to be replaced by the next craze. What he set is a class to be carry on by men who exemplifies style and sophistication. There’s just so much good impression you can draw from a man who dresses himself so well.
